Compass Elite IUL

Kansas City Life announces the new Compass Elite IUL     
 New accumulation-oriented IUL for clients who are looking for more growth potential.

Kansas City Life Insurance Company is proud to announce our newest product addition - the Compass Elite Indexed Universal Life (IUL). The Compass Elite will join the EquiFlex in our IUL product offerings.  
   
Similar to the EquiFlex IUL, the Compass Elite IUL is a flexible premium universal life product with an indexed feature. It is designed to meet clients' needs head on with income tax-free death benefit protection for beneficiaries, plus the opportunity to build cash value on a tax-deferred basis with a safeguard against market downturns.

The Compass Elite IUL brings a new market niche to the table with the ability to sell in the juvenile market for ages 0 to 14 at $50,000 minimum issue limits. This is an excellent vehicle for long-term buildup cash value while still providing death benefit protection.
Perhaps one of the best features of the Compass Elite IUL is the addition of a third Indexed Account Option; Indexed Account C. For a small charge, Indexed Account C provides a higher Annual Point-to-Point cap limit than Indexed Account A, thus potentially increasing the policy's cash value growth potential.

The Compass Elite IUL is available to illustrate on both the online new business illustration system and the desktop system.  Pull up the system you are using and select Compass Elite - IUL from the initial product drop down list.

IAO Calculator

Have you ever wanted to know what products are available based on the death benefit payout and client information?  If so, the brand new IAO Calculator wizard is for you!  Based on the IAO inputs and client information, available products will be shown and premium results can be returned.  This is also the first wizard that can be transferred into the Quick Quoter!

To take advantage of the new wizard you must first log in to iKCLife.  Once logged in, click on IAO Calculator in the Wizards dropdown menu.


 To begin, choose how the death benefit will be paid out and enter the client information.  Based on the IAO inputs and client information, invalid products will be grayed out.  Underneath each product we list if it's unavailable due to age, risk class, specified amount or state.  Select one of the available products and click Run Wizard.


Clicking Run Wizard will list out the Total Death Benefit Payout and a quick view of the premiums.  For term, return of premium and whole life products, the "Regular" and "PAC or Combined Billing" premium will be shown for all billing modes.  For universal life, the minimum and target premium will be listed for all billing modes.


If you are happy with the case setup on the IAO calculator but want to customize the case by adding riders or want to generate a full PDF, simply click the "Transfer to Quick Quoter" button which will input all of the information from the wizard to the Quick Quoter.

Quote Sheet Wizard on Desktop System

The updated Quote Sheet is now available on the Desktop Illustration System! On this new version, we have included all of the upgrades that were introduced in the iKCLife version of the Quote Sheet. You can find the Quote Sheet by going to the 'Wizards' list under the Tools drop down.


Products are now validated by Issue State, so make sure to choose the correct state when running quotes!


The 'Search by Premium' option allows you to specify a premium amount the client would like to pay and generates quotes based off of the products selected. Both the Search by Specified Amount and Search by Premium options can now generate quotes for our Value Assured whole life product.

Update to iKCLife

We've created a new drop-down list in the header bar named 'Wizards' in the hopes of making it easier for you to get to your favorite sales concepts!  These previously lived in the 'Illustrate' drop-down list.


Hovering over 'Wizards' will show the drop-down list of all of the available wizards.














The wizards can also be found on the home page by clicking on the 'Wizards' tab.

Delete Functionality on Wizard History Pages


We recently added the ability to delete saved cases on all of the wizards on iKCLife!

This includes the Quick Quoter, Income Search, Triple Option Term, Triple Option UL, Triple Option WL, Quote Sheet, Cashback + Life Protector, IAO Fact Finder, and the Life Protector & Value Assured Crossover Point.  We hope this enhancement will allow you to more easily find a particular saved case.  To take advantage of the delete functionality, go to the history page by clicking the 'View Past [name of wizard] PDFs' link of the wizard that you are wanting to delete cases for.


To delete a saved case, check the box of the case you want deleted and click on the 'Delete all checked cases' button.  The line of any selected case will be highlighted red.


Next, you'll be prompted to verify that you want the case deleted.  Clicking 'OK' will delete the selected case and 'Cancel' will leave the case on your account.


 If you want to delete all of the saved cases on the page, checking the box under 'Remove Case' will automatically check all cases on the page.

Level Term Series and ChoiceTerm 20 Product Revisions

To help you come out on top in the highly competitive term insurance market, Kansas City Life Insurance Company announces revisions to its Level Term Series and ChoiceTerm 20 products.

The product revisions include the following highlights:
  • ChoiceTerm 20 level premiums have been reduced to improve its competitive position.
  • The minimum issue age has been lowered to 18 for the Level Term Series and ChoiceTerm 20 products.
  • The minimum issue limit for ChoiceTerm 20 has reduced from $1 million to $250,000.
  • The minimum death benefit limit after conversion has reduced from $250,000 on Level Advantage to $100,000 and $1 million on ChoiceTerm 20 to $250,000.
  • The addition of the Standard Select Nontobacco risk class to the Level Term and Level Term Advantage products.
  • The policy fee on the ChoiceTerm 20 has been lowered to $75 from $100.
  • Premium banding has been added on ChoiceTerm 20 (available bands of B250, B500, B1000).
  • Conversion privileges with reduced conversion credit. All plans may be converted to any permanent plan including the Life Protector.
On the illustration system, the old term plans will have the year they came out in the product name. The revised terms will have no year next to the name.  For example, the old version of the level 20 term will be listed as Level 20 (2012) and the revised version will be listed as Level 20.  To see if your state has approved the revised terms check the State Approvals Map on iKCLife.

If your state has approved the revised term plans, the following wizards on iKCLife will use the new terms: Triple Option Term, Triple Option UL, Triple Option WL, Quote Sheet and the IAO Fact Finder.  If your state has not yet approved the revised terms the wizards will use the old term plans.

Multiple Agents in the Quick Quoter

The ability to have multiple sets of agent information on a single profile is now available for the Quick Quoter!

To use this feature you will first need to update your agent profile to include the information for all new agents. After logging in to iKCLife you will see a new option on the left side of the Agent Homepage called 'Agent List'.


Clicking this link brings you to a screen where you are able to input each of the agents that you would like to run illustrations for.


Click 'Add Entry' to add a new agent or 'Update Entry' to modify an existing agent. Selecting either of these will open the 'Agent List Updater' screen.


Once you have filled out the agent’s details and have selected the 'Update' button, that agent’s information has been saved for future use with the Quick Quoter. If the new agent does not show up in the Agent List after selecting the 'Update' button, simply refresh the website.

Once you have added the agents that you would like to run illustrations for, navigate to the Quick Quoter. The output section now has the option to either run the illustration as yourself or as another agent that you have previously entered.


Selecting Another Agent allows you to pick which agent’s information you would like to appear on the illustration. Once you have finished setting up the illustration and have run the case, check the output. It should have the new agent’s information at the top of the illustration rather than your own.
