Quick Quoter History Page

The Quick Quoter History page has an updated look and added functionality!  The ability to search by All, Agent Name, Client Name, and Saved As is now available.  Keep reading to learn more.

In the search by drop-down list choose the field you want to search.  Note: if All is the selected category the entered keyword will be searched in the Agent Name, Client Name, and Saved As columns at the same time.

Once the 'Search by' field is chosen and the keyword entered, click on the magnifying glass or the enter key on your keyboard to run the search.  All cases that meet the search criteria will be returned.  

From here you can hover over the Info icon to see more specific case details or click on the View Wizard icon to pull the case up in the Quick Quoter.  If the case is no longer needed it can be deleted by checking the box and clicking on 'Delete Selected Cases'.  If you want to delete all of the saved cases on the page, checking the box in the header row will automatically check all cases on the page.

Supplemental Defaults in the Quick Quoter

Is there a supplemental that you like to always add to your illustrations?  If so, check out the new Supplementals tab within the Quick Quoter!

The supplementals tab can be used to set default supplementals for new business and inforce illustrations run on the Quick Quoter.  All currently available supplementals on the Quick Quoter will be shown on this tab.  If you're not sure what a specific supplemental does or shows, you can look to the right of the supplemental name for a short description!

To set your defaults, check any and all of the supplementals that you would like to be added to every single illustration (if valid for the particular case setup) and click Set Defaults.  In the image below, the Charges and Credits is set as a default.

In addition to the supplementals tab, the supplementals section can still be found below the client section on the main Quick Quoter tab.  This section can be used to update chosen supplementals specifically for your current case setup and will not update defaults for future illustrations.  Any valid (based on case setup) supplementals that are selected on the supplementals tab will be automatically checked here.  If there are any supplementals you would like to add or remove for only your current case setup simply check or uncheck the box to the right of the supplemental.

Inforce Life Protector

The Illustration Development Team is excited to announce that Life Protector (versions 2011 and 2015) is now available to be inforce illustrated!

You'll find an updated look with new features to immediately generate inforce Life Protector illustrations.

Features include:

• The ability to make immediate and future changes for:
• Premium
• Specified Amount
• Death Benefit Option
• A new Loan Payback Section with a repayment calculator.
• The ability to illustrate all riders and edit rider amounts.

To run a Life Protector inforce illustration hover over 'Illustrate' in the menu bar and select 'Inforce Illustration'.

On the inforce search screen enter the Life Protector policy number and click on 'Search'.  If you are the assigned agent for the policy, the policy has been in force for at least a year, and the policy is at or above the minimum specified amount the policy will be pulled up.

This will take you to an updated look of the summary screen where you can view the basic information of the policy.

Click on 'View Illustration' in the upper right hand corner to go to the input screen.  From here you can run a current inforce illustration or make hypothetical changes to the policy.

There are also informational messages that will appear when a hypothetical change is made to help you understand how the change will affect the policy. Informational messages include error messages when an invalid entry is made to inform you about why you can't use the change you are trying to illustrate. This makes illustrating the Life Protector in the inforce system educational as well.

Supplementals in the Quick Quoter

ELB Rider in the Income Search Wizard

It is now possible to add the ELB rider within the Income Search Wizard!

The Income Search Wizard is a quick and easy way to calculate maximum tax-free income from Kansas City Life Insurance's SuperNOVA Universal Life, FlexWealth Universal Life, EquiFlex Indexed Universal Life, Compass Elite Indexed Universal Life, and Accumulator Variable Universal Life products. 

We have now added the option to include the ELB rider to make this wizard even more convenient. To add the ELB, select the checkbox at the bottom left. Once the ELB checkbox is selected, you have the option to either enter your own ELB amount or to select Max ELB Death Benefit.

After "Run Wizard" is clicked, this amount will be included in the results. If the amount entered is too high (based on the state chosen and the rider limitations) compared with the resulting specified amount calculated, the ELB amount will automatically be adjusted with the resulting ELB amount showing within the results section and on the illustration generated.

New Indexed Universal Life Training Videos

The EquiFlex and Compass Elite Indexed Universal Life (IUL) can be complex products.  To better understand how the product works, new training modules are available to help you navigate through the intricacies.

To watch these modules, log in to iKCLife.  Don't forget you can now log in with your KCLIC credentials as well!  Once logged in, click on Training and then Videos.

Next, click on the IUL Training topic in the left hand box.

The modules related to this topic will then be shown in the right hand box.  Clicking on a video within this box will load the video into the player.  Each module is ten to twenty minutes long and covers the following topics:

Multiple Agents in the Income Search Wizard

The ability to choose which agent profile is shown on your illustration is now available on the Income Search Wizard!

We recently added the ability to have multiple sets of agent information on a single user's profile that could be used with the Quick Quoter.  To use this feature, you would first update your agent profile to include the information for the new agents by selecting Agent List on the Agent Home page.  Here you could update, add, or delete agents from your profile.  That same agent list is now accessible when using the Income Search Wizard!

Underneath the results section, there is now a field that provides you with the option to either run the illustration as yourself or as another agent that you have previously entered.

Selecting Another Agent allows you to pick which agent's information you would like to appear on the illustration.

Once you have finished setting up the case and have ran the wizard, check the output.  On the cover page in the presented by section it will list the new agent's information rather than your own.
